Blogger Fam... Lend Me Your Ears!!
O.k. yall here's the deal-
First I gotta thank SUPA , CHOC , BKLYN and ILL for asking for music.
Because of these wonderful bloggers I went searching around for some
type of program that would let me upload something for them (and YOU)
to hear. As a matter of fact... because of Supa's post yesterday I found this great site called Odeo.com.
It's a site that allows you to make audio messages.
I signed up and contacted them about how to upload my music
and they said that capability wasn't accessible to the general public.
Now being the DIVA that I am-
I politely informed them that I was THE Sangin'Diva to which they
allowed me to be a beta tester for the program!!!
I was able to upload 2 tunes.
I tried for more but it started actin' all bootleg on me :(
Here is where you (my blogger family) come in...
I want your opinion... on any and everything.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
These are DEMOS!!
I'm singing everything (even the backgrounds)
I wrote the words (except the anthem- duh!)
I'm artist and I'm sensitive about my shyt so-
PROMISE ME YOU'LL BE NICE!!! (but tell the truth)
The 1st one is my acapella version of the National Anthem...
(yes -I know the 2nd verse is missing- I meant to do that)
The 2nd one is a song I wrote called "Everything"

My daughter was listening to your audio posts and she said, 'wow, she is sure singing beautiful.' Kennedi is 5, and the most honest person that I know. I couldn't agree more.

Shannon, you are one talented sista. I am so impressed with your vocal skills. I had no idea what your voice was going to sound like and you exceeded my expectations. Some backup singers need to stay in the back, but you truly need to be front and center, girl. I would love, love, LOVE to hear you live (I better get word when you're in the DC area!) and also add your CD to my collection. Make it happen!

First of all, thanks for the kind words you said about me in your blog (not that I twisted your arm or anything). But you know good and well that I taught you the ABC's of Womanhood....now whether or not you heed to the ABC's is entirely up to you...but at least you can't say you haven't been taught. OH WELL!
Secondly, what started off as a joke is now becoming a reality. I am starting my own blog entitled "Diary of a Happy Black Woman". I haven't started writing the blog yet but when I do, check it out at a-happy.blogspot.com I am going to eventually tell the big secret of WHY I AM SOOOOOO Ridiculously HAPPY.
