OK! OK! I'LL DO IT!!

At first I had made the decision NOT to post anything
until I got back home from my trip-





But I got soooo many calls and emails
about when I was going to blog again-
I just HAD to give the people what they want!!


Well, I guess I'd better start with where I left off.... Sunday.

Oh! But before I get into that...

A lot of you have told me that you
have not seen the Beyonce 'Check On It' video.
Since I don't want my genius to go over your heads :)
I took the liberty of learning how to write the
html code that would allow me to link references
to the things I see and say. (Nerd ALERT!!)

Ok..

On Sunday I went to a baby shower
for a good friend of mine Sherree.
Sherree is significant because she is one of
the highest paid background singers in the industry.
(AND that girl is GOOD!!!!!)
Her shower was like the who's who of the
entertainment clicks. NOT that that's a bad thing...
Cuz, it's all about the network baby!
There were people you would definitely know
(who I won't name, I hate name droppers... ya know?)
PLUS, my girl made sure that we ALL knew this was her day
and we were all just homies so leave the "DIVAS" at the door.
(As to not impose on our privacy- let's move on, shall we?)
Anyway, the shower was great,
BOMB food, no "hater-ation",
a little steppin' ( to smooth jazz! hahaha!)
and a whole lot of SANGIN'!! It was beautiful.
CONGRATS GURL!!

On Monday I had to get 4 passport photos
for the Visas I need to enter and work in Japan,
fill out the paper work and Fed-Ex it overnight so
that I could make my deadline today.
I did regular things like WASH and PACK
which is why (ANGIE and MOM)
I was too busy to write!
Anyway, I will not be writing ANYTHING else
until I come back home- SO DON'T ASK!!! hahaha!

Bahama Mama

I need to stop playin' and start packing. I am on my way to the Bahamas!
I have been to darn near every Island in the Caribbean.
I hate to sound spoiled...(hahahaha) but really once you've seen one,
you've pretty much seen them all.
Especially if you stay in a rum punch induced haze...
Don't get me wrong- Each island is unique of course-
and I try to notice what is different about each Island.
(Like in the Grand Caymans the sand is really white and rocky or
Jamaica's water (in Montego Bay) has a very DARK greenish blue look.)

But finding the differences ain't really why I'm there. Besides performing,
my goal is usually to test the spa at the resort,
stay in a state of constant buzz,
relax, party, and look at the stars from another part of the planet.

I was in Cabo I think... but where we were staying,
if you stood in the middle of the resort and looked up at night,
as clear as day you could see the Big Dipper and Orion's belt.
The sky was pitch black and there were a GAZILLION stars!
It was just amazing!!!
To me what really makes the difference in the Islands are the people.
All of the islands are tourist traps. All of the hotels are pretty much the same.
All of the food is pretty much the same.
I try to find out where the "REAL" people of the place hang out.
You always have more fun, and get the real island perspective.
I think my favorite of Island would be Turks and Caicos and my
NEVER EVER WANT TO GO AGAIN WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND
TO MY WORST ENEMY island- St. Kitts/Nevis.
All I'm going to say about it is BOOOOOOO.

Anyway, my point is I'm going to the Bahamas for 2 reasons.
I'm performing of course. But also Michael Jordan is having
his Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. The last day of the
tournament there is a big closing show, but before that
if you're not playing golf... which I'm not...
you're doing what Superstars do- test the spa, relax, party
keep your buzz constant... you know, the usual.

There of course will be constant parties and BALLA'S GALORE.
I might have to pack some pink so they can"CHECK ON IT"
like Beyonce'!
I'd dip it low then swerve around and say-
"YOU CAN LOOK AT IT -AS LONG AS YOU DON'T GRAB IT" ...

They are NOT ready! :)


Really I'm getting my party on because my vacation is coming to a close.
When I come back I will be on my way to Japan (YAY! I LUV JAPAN!!)
as well as Indonesia (for the 3rd time!!)
God has been tremendusly good to me, And I am extremely grateful.
FOR REAL...

Why I LUV My Assistant...

I have decided to dedicate a post to my WONDERFUL Assistant Curry.
There are so many reasons why he is the best friend THIS girl could have!

1. He keeps weird musician hours with me :)

2. He will sit online with me for hours as we IM and chat back and forth
about everything and nothing.

3. He always picks out the most FABULOUSLY FIERCE Shoes & Clothes
for me to wear on stage and in everyday life!

4. He DESIGNS, SEWS and HAND BEADS the most BEAUTIFUL
Gowns and Dresses (all COUTURE mind you)
so that I never look like anyone else...or wear the same thing twice!

5. He's not a "yes" man.

If I'm looking in ANY WAY unfabulous- he will quickly say:
"Bitch- where do you think you are going looking like that?"

6. He ALWAYS tells me the truth... even if I don't want to hear it.

Like when I told him I wanted a BOOB JOB. He said:
I will not allow you to become a Michael Jackson.
He OBVIOUSLY had no one in his life to tell him he was fabulous
just the way he was. But you do. AND you have someone to sew
waterbras in your dresses... You don't need it.
And ya know what? I believe him.

7. He cleans, organizes and decorates my house for me.

He is like a tornado when he comes through organizing
and whipping things (and ME!) into shape!
He makes sure everything has and is in its place.
He has the most wonderful ideas of color and placement.
He's just a genius!

8. He always makes me LAUGH!!!

Even when I'm mad. And ranting. And raving.
And having a tantrum like spoiled superstars do...
He'll say: "Bitch get it out now because you 'shole don't want
a camera to catch you acting like that!!
And then he'll give me this LOOK... HE knows the LOOK.
The I SMELL SH*T- YOU SPOILED BITCH- SHAME ON YOU! LOOK.
AND THEN I LAUGH! It works every time!!
(He must have had a conversation with my mother...)

9. He always gives me great MAN advice... (I mean he IS one, duh.)
Like there was this guy who was borderline STALKER-AZZI...
He called at least 12 times an hour! I'm NOT joking.
So Curry politely introduced him to our "Block Party"
He 'blocked' his crazy a** from calling my phone again. WELCOME.

10. Although I could go on and on... I WON'T.
I won't because I don't want to tell all of our juicy bizz-nass.
But what I WILL say is: Curry is soo much more than my assistant.
He is a SUPER Blessing to me. He does so much more than the superficial
things I aforementioned. He gives me intangibles that I could never put
into words. He keeps my secrets, truths and overlooks my faults.
Better than my MasterCard... Curry is PRICELESS!

Ok,
I sent out this big mass e-mail,
to all mah folks about the Diva Book.
The end of the letter said:

MOST people said things like:

'The wiz! where's my nickel?...'
(although I DID say 5 PENNIES...) WHATEVER...

or

"The Wiz. Diana Ross. GIMME MY GUM!"

(that was Isha who was also 1st to respond
BTW... now that either means she's stickin'
it to 'da man- or was on her law ordered
15 min break- 'cause she 'shole AIN'T workin'!)

I woke up today with the excitement of knowing...
I gotz me a blog!!
I was telling my mom today about this new accomplishment
and how I am probably going to become a web genius,
just cause I'm gonna have to learn Html codes to get my page
the way I like it.
You know the Gemini Jedi in me ain't gonna let the template stay
like this... but the pink IS cute for my first time around :)

Makes a Diva feel all virginal n' sh*t.
I feel like channelin' me some Madonna-
